Another major improvement to Boricua Network has been released! The Site Search! There is no question that Boricua Network provides many tools for storing and displaying data. But all these areas could make information difficult to find. Not a problem! The new Site Search feature will point you right to the content you are looking for.
This is a very sophisticated search tool designed especially for Boricua Network content and is available only to Boricua Network members. How the Site Search Works:Point-Based System. The site search searches all the Boricua Network content and uses a point based system to display search results in a certain order. Points are given based on where the keywords are found in the content. For example, the keyword as the title of the document is worth more than the keyword in the content itself. Exact point system is not made public and will be frequently updated to improve search quality.Boolean Searching. The site search is very simple with a single text input field. It uses what it is called a "Boolean Search", the standard search parameters that most Internet users would expect. For example, entering IP address would search the site for documents with BOTH words, "IP" and "address", in the same document. But if you include the terms in quotes (ex: "IP address") it would search the site for documents with that frace only.Results. The results are displayed in order of relevancy. Each search result will have an icon to the left, signifying the type of document. By placing the cursor over the image, the type of document will be shown by name. The name of the document will be linked to the document, with the exception of any calendar entries. In the case of calendar entries, each date that matches the search will be linked separately. The description of the link will be the first 250 characters of the document main text, AFTER the HTML has been stripped away. In some cases where there is no document text (like photo galleries, av presentations, etc.) just the name of the application will appear. The search results could bring back private member only data if it is included in the first part of the description of any posts or descriptions. That is the reason why the site search feature is available only to Boricua Network members.
¡Hola! Hello!
